Friends Seminary
Dear Potential Donors, We are 6th Graders at Friends Seminary. This year we read The Long Walk to Water and were inspired by Salva Dut's story. After participating in a water simulation this fall, we researched the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goal #6 which aims to address the struggles around the world to access clean, safe water. Through our H2O for Life Walk on April 28, we hope to raise funds to help with the installation of wells in the communities we selected. We believe in the power of youth to make a difference in this world. We carefully selected our nonprofit partner, H2O for Life, because they work hard to impact the access to clean, safe water around the world and for their proven history in strong partnerships in the countries where they work. Thank you for considering supporting our fundraising effort. Scroll to the bottom of this page to read about the projects we chose to support and to view photos. We also invite you to donate by clicking on the button below to donate online. The Class of 2028
Fruita 8/9 NJHS
This group of students is committed to helping children around the world to experience a better quality of life and hopefully better educational opportunities. For the past five years we have sponsored with Water for Life to raise money for schools around the world.
Ft. Howard Elementary School
This project is intended to expose the kids and teachers at Ft. Howard to the global water crisis and the power of giving to those less fortunate. Procter & Gamble, Green Bay has partnered with Ft. Howard in this effort.
Gaithersburg High School
We understand each day almost a billion people make a three-hour journey to gather water! Gaithersburg High School is concerned about the water crisis school children encounter each and every day. We want to be a part of the solution. Our school is hoping to raise $2,000.00 for a school in need. Every penny raised by our students will be matched by the in-country implementing organization and 100% of what is raised will go directly to our school partner project. We want our students to know that by working together, we can make a difference in the world. We hope all students in our school will benefit from our partnership with H20 for Life. Students will be challenged to think about their own habits concerning water usage, and will develop awareness of the enormity of the issues surround water in our world.

Gateway High School
If we all intentionally look for problems - big and small- that need solving and try to do something about it- the world will be a better place. We don’t have time to wait around for someone else to help. Not when... 844 MILLION people around the world do not have access to clean water. Not when...Women and girls miss opportunities to go to work and school because their days are consumed by hours of walking to fetch water. Not when...every 2 minutes—a child dies from a preventable water-related disease. We ALL should feel a sense of urgency and call to HELP NOW. So we would like to encourage each and every one of you to go out and do some good in the world. Don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty, because that’s the only way we can make a difference. Gandhi said, “In a gentle way, you can shake the world.” Sometimes the smallest act can make a difference. The smallest shift in the sand. The smallest DROP of CLEAN WATER. The smallest set of hands contributing. We encourage you to go out and make even the tiniest of differences; because even a small match can cause an explosion. Help us make a difference by donating today! -Battalion Commander Kayla E. Cabrera JROTC Program at Gateway High School
Germantown Friends School
We work within our school and local community to help raise awareness about water issues both locally and internationally.
Girl Scout Brownie Troop 60200
We are Girl Scout Brownie Troop 60200, with 18 third graders from Cardinal Joseph Bernardin Catholic School in Orland Hills, Illinois. Our main Girl Scout project this year was taking our "Wonders of Water" Journey, where we learned all about the importance of our earth's freshwater resources. We decided to use a portion of the proceeds from our Girl Scout Cookie Sale to help provide fresh water to school children in another part of the world!
