Our students read the book A Long Walk to Water. We want to participate as a culminating service learning project. When the students were done reading the book they realized that they had to take action and make a difference.

We are two aspiring teenagers hoping to better the world with small steps. We watched a documentary about the water crisis around the world and were shocked by the vast lack of access to clean water. Ever since we were determined to contribute to the crisis.
Bankbridge Regional High School
We are a public high school for students with special needs. We learned about the world's water crisis this year. We wanted to help students from another country gain access to clean water.
Bret Harte Elementary School
We are a IB School and want to give our children the understanding that being privileged should mean we ought to help those not so privileged.
Discovery Charter School
Students have studied and researched the water crisis within their ELA, Science, and Social Studies classes. In Social Studies classes students are pursuing being water advocates and planning a Game Night to raise funds.
Harlem Wizards
The Harlem Wizards want to make a difference and these water projects are a perfect opportunity.
Hoboken Charter School
Because "service learning is a way to teach, not a thing to teach" and it is my goal to build better global citizens via art... Using art as a means for grassroots activism vs. being a mere form of decoration... AND because my students have bought into the cause and feel a sense of responsibility! For us, it is all about compassion! Water IS life and everyone deserves that! Because it is our duty to care for our "Ubuntu"!
Jessie F. George Elementary School
Jessie F. George Elementary School in the Township of Washington, New Jersey is planning a Walk for Water to sponsor the Mandirtala Akshay Vidyaphith School in India. The Walk for Water event is planned for Friday, April 26th and will most likely involve our entire school; approximately 250 students in grades K through 5 (grades K-2 in the morning and grades 3-5 in the afternoon).
Lake Tract Elementary School (Dep...
Lake Tract's third grade is full of students that love to learn about folks from far away. They are inspired when they hear that other kids are in need, and will rise to the occasion for this cause. They will help support these fellow children, and, in doing so, make a difference in their own lives and the lives of others. We are excited to introduce this service project to our school and our community, and hope we can exceed our goal through a group effort.
New Brunswick Public Schools
In 1986 I went to Kenya during college for a semester. I loved it and vowed to return one day (before I had my own children). Well now my oldest son is 17 and my younger one is 13, so I didn't keep that vow. But I still have a strong interest in Kenya and know I will be back there some day.
Northern Highlands Regional High ...
Hi we are Spring4Kenya! We are a group of 12th graders from Northern Highlands Regional High School. Through a series of fundrasiers, we are raising money to provide access to clean water to communities in Kenya.
