30 Days in June
Did you know that girls around the world do not get the education we take for granted because of a lack of both water and sanitation in their villages? Olivia Hawkins and Clare Sullivan are working with H2O for Life to make water and sanitation sustainable for the Erasmus Creche School in South Africa. Throughout the month of June, they're working towards raising funds to make this a reality.
Abbotts Creek Elementary - Third ...
The third graders at Abbotts Creek Elementary are learning about water as part of our ELA curriculum. Students are learning about water issues such as; pollution, access, and demands on water. Students will participate in this project as a way to spread awareness.
Abington Junior High - The Fabulo...
This is the Abington Junior High School Destination Imagination team and we have chosen to help the Kyshero Secondary & Vocational School raise funds to install a tap for a piped spring-fed gravity water system to provide sufficient water all year for drinking, cooking and hand washing at this school and the local community. As a team, we have chosen to do a service project for the Destination Imagination competition with the Project Outreach Challenge. By selecting H2O as our community partner for this project, the need for water and their purpose will be spread globally.
Abington Senior High School
Our club is dedicated to providing clean water to the world population one step at a time. We believe in a world where access to clean water is a possibility for everyone, and we hope to achieve that through annual fundraisers. We hope to make clean water a reality for everyone.
Academie Da Vinci Charter School
Academie Da Vinci Charter School for the Arts and Technology is a Kindergarten through 8th grade school located in Dunedin, Florida. We are the first charter school to be established in Pinellas County. Our school is part of the Pinellas County Schools and follows the Pinellas County Schools curriculum. We enhance that curriculum with a curriculum program called STEAM – science, technology, engineering, arts and math. STEAM curriculum offers students the opportunity to learn new skills and information in multiple ways and to demonstrate their learning through projects and presentations.
Academy of the Sacred Heart
The Academy of the Sacred Heart is an all-girls, Toddler-12th grade school in New Orleans, Louisiana. Embedded in the school's mission is the importance of social justice in our global community. It is one of the five Goals to which our community adheres to in our daily lives. Combining this act of social awareness with another of our Goals, "Respect for Intellectual Values," this fundraising project is an ongoing, social entrepreneurship project for the 2nd Preparatory. The vision is to provide learning activities which empower students to effectively change the world. Students learn how to ideate, create, develop, and market goods and events that have the potential to benefit society, e. g. H2O for Life schools
A.C. Davis High School
We are a Interact club sponsored by Rotary of Yakima that focuses on solving world issues and local issues. We are interested in bringing awareness to our own society about the need for water not just locally but to the world as we understand it contributes to pandemics and other global concerns. We need our world to be a better place and afford opportunities to girls in education, most girls are unable to attend school in secondary level.
Addison's Fellowship Project
I am participating in an independent fellowship project with H2O for LIfe. I am proud and eager to support the Navajo Nations because with water, these American lives can be changed for the better. Native Americans can live healthier worry free lives. It is extremely sad that America still has a water crisis. With this fellowship, I hope that with help, the world can close this water gap one project at a time. Ending the water crisis and making the lives of others better is important to me. I aspire to receive help from others who care about clean water and assist Dig Deep on their mission to aid Native Americans.
AFSA High School
Environmental education is a core value at AFSA High School. We strive to connect students to both their environment and their community. Being an H2O for Life school is one of the ways we make meaningful learning opportunities available to students and work toward our school's mission. Our school's NHS Chapter is leading our fundraising and awareness efforts. Last year we helped build a well in Uganda. This year we hope to get more of the school involved in this important project through monthly hat days, selling H2O for life t-shirts, and other fun events. We are excited to make a difference!
Aid for Africa
Aid for Africa is a charity alliance of U.S.-based nonprofits and their African partners working to help children, families, and communities throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. All donations to this campaign page will be reallocated to a specific, individual WASH project in Africa. Aid for Africa members are all dedicated to solving the complex, inter-related challenges facing Africa. Our members realize that, as effective as they each are on their own, they can be even more powerful when they approach Africa’s issues as a group. Together our members, with their partners on the ground in Africa, touch almost every aspect of the African community. Whether they are collecting and distributing books to school children, introducing medical strategies to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS, or identifying and supporting women’s micro-enterprise projects, Aid for Africa’s members have one thing in common—a passionate desire to help the people of Africa solve critical problems and build a better future for their children and communities. Organizations wishing to become part of the Aid for Africa partnership must meet stringent tests of fiscal accountability, governance and programmatic impact.
