Brisbane Elementary School District
While visiting this preschool for orphans this past summer, the awareness of not having access to water was right in front of me... no longer a distant concept that I heard or read about. These very sweet children, who already have so many challenges at the beginning of their young lives with having lost their parents, spend their days trying to learn at a school with a mud floor, no access to water, and a single latrine. Despite this, the children and the teachers were so happy and welcoming. I thought that this would be an ideal project and learning experience for the students of the Brisbane School District. We are fortunate enough to have easy access to clean water and sanitation facilities. This is one way to increase awareness about the water situation in other parts of the world, while helping these students and teachers have what we take for granted.
Cactus, Inc. (Arroyo Vista Charte...
We want to participate because we'd like to make an impact on the world through means of water conservation and helping those in need of water. We were assigned a school project in which we are supposed to make an impact and learn in the process. We thought this would be a good way to be a positive force for change.
Camerado Springs Middle School
Our 6th grade just finished A Long Walk to Water and were inspired by Salva Dut's story. We want to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

Cooper Academy
Cooper Academy is an International Baccaluareate middle school in Fresno, CA. As IB students and teachers we are inquirers about global issues. We know that the only way to change the world is to be the change.
Crestview Preparatory School
After reading, A Long Walk to Water, our 6th-grade class was motivated to not only help build a well but educate the lower grades and families at our school. We can not look away from water scarcity.
Del Sur Elementary School
Our school is interested in becoming global citizens. We want to help students in other parts of the world, and this project will be the perfect opportunity to do so. We are so fortunate living where we do; our clean water sits on our desks or waits patiently for us at a water fountain in our classrooms. It is such a sad thought to see students in Kenya who often have to walk three miles to get clean drinking water. We are hoping to help change that! Our school will help raise money to go towards building a rainwater tank and a better latrine system. We can do this! We are the Del Sur Explorers, and we are ready to show compassion and love for our neighbors in Africa!
Discovery Charter Preparatory #2
We are a High School Charter in Sylmar, California. My students and I are ecstatic of the opportunity to help those in need. We are looking forward to provide as much assistance as we can. Thank you.
First Avenue Middle School
Our English class read "A Long Walk to Water" and researched about the issue facing those with water insecurity. We wanted to be part of the solution and found H2O for Life.
