Dutch Fork Elementary Academy of ...
At Dutch Fork Elementary School Academy of Environmental Science (DFES), we are curious about the world around us. Our students are encouraged to learn through their experiences and world around them. The 5th grade class at DFES demonstrated this when they prepared their award winning science projects. Our students researched a variety of environmental topics of which included water filtration and water purification. Students explored methods of water filtration and purification along with their real-world implications. As the Spanish teacher at our school, I saw this as great opportunity connect the importance of clean water and Latin American culture. H2O for Life has presented us with the opportunity to live out one of our core beliefs: Reflection should lead to social action
Eagles Water for Life Project - C...
This is the fourth year we join efforts with the H2O for Life Organization to build the awareness of the water crisis and provide help to bring clean water, sanitation facilities and hygiene education to the schools in need. We had a successful year and met our fundraising goals last year to help the students at Ebukanga Secondary School in Kenya, Wangui Primary School in Kenya the year before, and before that, Tobrise Basic Primary School in Nigeria. At the same time, our students had learned a lot from the service learning activities about the water crisis and the many ways that they can help make a difference. We would like to continue to participate in this meaningful project, get more students in our school communities involved, and once again surpass our fundraising goal.
East Ridge High School
My school wants to participate in this project so that we can change lives. We are very committed in making this project successful. We would also love to learn about different cultures and this project will give us that chance and in addition, we will be able to learn about water, its effects and impacts. Our goal is to make sure children of this generation get a chance to have a good quality education with good hygiene and succeed in life so that they too can make a difference in other people's lives. We want to expose students in East Ridge High school to global issues and how life is different in other countries. This is a new club in our school but we are planning to make it one of the best so that the incoming students of the next years can keep projects going. Fellow students and I are very excited for the goals we will accomplish, the things we will learn and the fun we will have. This a chance of a lifetime which is to change people's lives and make them smile. Thanks H2O for Life!
East Valley Central Project Green
East Valley Central students saw the H2O video and were humbled about how we take so many daily things for granted. As our mission is to be Better Citizens of the Earth, this fit perfectly for a service project. We can't imagine the ordeal families go through to survive each day, and some do not live through that day. We are proud to be a part of this crusade and hope we become responsible caring global citizens.
Elgin Academy
We have studied poverty, and also water deficits in the world through Challenge 20/20. Our class chose H20 for Life as its service project because we were moved by the lack of clean water for so many people

Elizabeth Seton High School
The students at Elizabeth Seton High School donate time to service to others every year. Usually, these service opportunities are through local organizations in the Washington, D.C. area.
Elsa England Elementary School
Third grade Water Warriors at Elsa England Elementary have been studying water conservation and water scarcity as part of a year long service learning project. Our study of water has been woven throughout our curriculum. As we were researching different aspects of water such as water usage, drought, pollution and scarcity, the students became passionate about helping children in other countries who do not have easy access to clean water. Our students are developing a sense of global citizenship. To raise funds, our students will be developing products to sell at an economics fair and organizing a community wide walk for water.
Ely Washington Elementary
It is becoming an annual tradition here in Ely for the Student Council to sponsor a Walk for Water and this year's Student Council members are super excited to share this with our student body and raise money for Mlandege Primary School! The Elementary Student Council has had several discussions about how lucky we are to live in Ely, where sparkling, clear water abounds and our students just take a short walk to the drinking fountain to fill their water bottles. We feel very strongly that it is important for our students to help those who are less fortunate than ourselves and are proud to be a part of teaching the students to look beyond themselves and be a positive change in the world. See the latest update about the Walk yesterday. We are still gratefully accepting donations if you haven't yet had a chance!!
