River Oak Charter School
River Oak is a Waldorf Charter School. Our seventh grade class has been together since first grade. We want to participate because in Northern California we cannot imagine, especially with our yearly fires, what it would be like without water. We want to be the change, make a difference in our world and learn to be insightful global leaders.
Riverton Middle School
During science, eighth graders spend time learning about water and fresh water sources. When learning about areas around the world without clean water, we voted to begin fundraising in order to support H2O for Life. We not only want to help communities in need, but raise an awareness as well. We feel that often times, we take for granted what many other people in the world do without, and this was one way to have a direct influence in helping others and supporting a great cause!
Robbinsdale Armstrong High School
We want to save peoples' lives because every moment people are dying and we really want to help out and we care for these kids and they need help so much and we have time to do this every year and i think this is a good goal.
Robbinsdale Middle School
We are excited to be helping a global cause! We are a large middle school ready and willing to take on a new project. Please help us reach our goal of raising $500 to help a school in need!
Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion
We are a Spanish Immersion School for grades K-5 motivated to make an impact on the world around us!
Robert Anderson Middle School
Mrs. McDowell's College and Career Readiness classes read the book "A Long Walk to Water." Upon the completion of the book, they did a PBL to look at ways they could help address the problem in South Sudan and other countries alike. The students chose to either create a fundraising campaign, create a flyer/poster to publicize what is going on in South Sudan, or research a topic connected to the novel. The students then voted on the best fundraising campaign out of all of the classes. The Chick-Fil-A fundraiser garnered the most votes, so we sold Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwiches. It was a life-changing opportunity for our students to be educated on a major global issue and be a part of the solution. This eye-opening experience taught them to appreciate the little things in life. Also, it was beneficial for them to plan the fundraiser and educate their peers about the water crisis in Sudan.
Rockvale High School JROTC
Our JROTC program out of Rockvale High School is interested in raising money for a water well as our Service Learning Project. This project peaked our interest as it is a project that can both raise money for a good cause and allow our cadets and others interested to be educated on the topic.
Rockwood Valley Middle School
Students and staff at Rockwood Valley Middle School want to help put an end to the global water crisis. Our students are learning the causes and effects of water shortages around the world, and would like to do their part to give back. Please help us raise money and awareness for this important global cause!
Rogers High School - Group A
Our AVID group at Rogers High School have decided to help H2O for life schools specifically Womulalu Special school in Kenya. We want to be able to do something much bigger than ourselves and being a high school senior class, we hope to inspire more people in our school to do things such as help out people around the world who may not have what we do so easily.
Rogers High School - Group B
We are a Senior class of A.V.I.D. students at John R. Rogers high school in Spokane, Washington. We heard about this fundraiser and immediately wanted to help! We strive to help better our community and are excited to help beyond our city.
Roosevelt Middle School
This is the fourth year for RMS to partner with H2O for Life. We continue to participate to help other children and to bring more awareness to our community regarding the lack of clean water and sanitation in many areas of the world. We also want to support educational opportunities for all students and without clean water and proper santitation facilities many students are limited in their ability to attend school. Raising funds for our school allows us to help others and create change in others lives which in turn enriches our lives.
