Rebel Badge Club
I am a member of the Rebel Badge Club - an adult merit badge group. This month our special challenge is to support a charity that is working on sanitization projects for areas in need.
Redlands eAcademy Middle School
On January 18, 2022, students in grades 6th-8th began reading the novel, A Long Walk to Water. Students have been blogging on Padlet walls about environmental sustainability, sharing their experiences with water, and collaborating about how they can educate others about the global water crisis in their language arts classes. In addition to reading the novel and completing language arts activities, students have been keeping track of their daily water usage, and are reviewing their data and findings. In science, they have been working on a water cycle project. In history, they have been taking a Google Earth Literature Trip of Salva and Nya’s journey and learning about people’s experiences in Southern Sudan during their civil war. Upon finishing the book, students will complete a culminating project to educate our school community about the global water crisis. Students will have the option to present at our annual Knowledge Fair on March 17, 2022. In conjunction with all of this learning, students started a Penny War on February 1st to raise funds to support school #4 in South Sudan. It is our goal that students meet H2O for Life’s mission; H2O for Life offers a service-learning opportunity designed to engage, educate and inspire youth to take action to solve the global water crisis by raising awareness and funds to support implementation of water, sanitation and hygiene education projects for global partner schools.

Rehoboth Christian Middle School
Rehoboth is moving towards becoming a school characterized by "teaching for transfomation." We are just beginning this journey and there are 10 Throughlines we are embracing. At least four of these throughlines align beautifully with the H2O for Life project. They are: Justice Seeker: Students will act as agents of restoration. Servant Worker: Students will work actively to heal brokenness and bring joy to individuals and to culture. Community Builder: Students will be active pursuers and builders of community in their classrooms, in their neighborhoods, and in the global village. Image Reflectors: Students bear the image of God in their daily lives. We see this project as an opportunity for us to honor God's love for all peoples by reaching out to help make a difference."
Rice Lake Middle School
Katie Spotz spoke to our entire middle school. Our students were moved by what she shared and felt that this would be a great cause to support. Our student council will be spear-heading fundraisers involving our schools and the community to raise money for H2O for Life projects.
Richard E. Byrd School
Our group is a 4th Grade class at Richard E. Byrd School in New Jersey. Each year we read "A Long Walk to Water" and we wanted to find a way to help and bring clean water to the people of South Sudan.
Ripon High: Environmental Advocac...
Environmental Advocacy Club is a club at Ripon High where we learn about sustainable practices and patterns to implement in our daily lives. We are an environmental advocacy club located in California. We are inquisitive and ready to learn more about problems globally and locally we can fix together. We are excited to help raise funds to create a positive impact to places in need of water sanitation.
Riverbank High School Interact Club
The Riverbank Rotary Club sponsors the High School Interact Club. We conducted an event by having people walk the track carrying a gallon of water and solicited funds for the number of laps walked.
Riverbend Middle School
The eighth grade class at Riverbend would like to help fund Owina Primary School as a pay-it-forward from #bestschoolday when several projects were funded for the class on Donorschoose.org.
