Sisters4Water
We are artists and activists devoted to changing the world, one potholder at a time. This is our FIFTEENTH year weaving potholders in support of water rights. All of our materials are donated, so every penny we make goes directly to H2O for Life. The potholders are 100% cotton, made from loops from Harrisville Designs, a mill in New Hampshire. Therefore, they are entirely made in the USA! We sell two sizes: 6x6" for $8 each and 8.5x8.5” for $12. This is Ella's fifteenth year weaving potholders and Mabel's tenth! This year we are partnering again with DigDeep for the Navajo Water Project to provide clean, hot and cold running water to homes that don't have access to water or sewer lines in Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona. Thank you for considering a donation. Potholders make great gifts. Custom orders are always welcome! Thank you for your kindness and support. SMART2bfit & Wheaton Christian Gr...
Wheaton Christian Grammar School is ending the year in service with a SMART Walk 4 Water put on by SMART2bfit. We will have a service learning day that will educate us about Tanzania and global water scarcity while raising funds for borehole wells for the children of Tanzania. This well benefit 418 children who typically have to walk nearly 4 miles every morning before school to fetch water at the Lipuli Secondary School. Our hope is that WCGS will better understand water scarcity throughout the world, have a greater heart for service, and will raise funds for 2 wells in Tanzania.
South Carroll High School
South Carroll High School’s National Honors Society (NHS) proudly presents its second annual Walk for Water event! With strong leadership and dedication, we launched this event last year with the goal to ACT LOCALLY to IMPACT GLOBALLY. Through this project we are promoting community awareness of the global water crisis while providing education on the need for widespread water conservation. After researching and learning about the global water crisis we want to make others conscious of how precious our water resources are, and how fortunate our community is to have clean and constant access to this finite basis of life. Last year’s walk raised over $5000 with more than 200 participants walking and even more donating, and provided a fun time for everyone! This year we want to make our event even bigger and better. We are trying to raise $7000 for a school in Mozambique and the Dominican Republic. With your help, whether it’s participating in our walk or donating, will make a difference for these children. All we ask is that you bring an open mind to hearing their story and their daily struggles to attain water. Please encourage your friends, families, teachers, and businesses to come support and be part of our big event! Our event information can be found below, in addition to a portal to sign up to either donate to our cause or just sign up to walk. South Carroll’s NHS appreciates all your support and efforts to take part in our cause.
Southeast Polk Junior High
While learning about the world's natural resources students in their science class learned that resources are not evenly distributed around the world. Students learned that there is a water crisis around the world and that less then 1% of the world's fresh water is available to humans. After many discussions as well as research over this crisis, the future we may face and the hardships many do face students wanted to do more than talk. The students asked what they could do to help, they wanted a direct relationship with others that were not as fortunate as them. That is when I remembered H2O for life, I felt that this organization is a great way to help those that do not have clean water available to them. I feel my students are the future problem solvers of the world and by partnering with a school in need as well as with H2O for life I am giving my students a chance towards humanitarianism and helping to make a small step towards ending this serious problem.

South Middle School students want to help support our fellow global citizens in having clean water.
South Orangetown Middle School
Every day, one billion people make a three hour journey to gather water! There is a water crisis throughout the world that is creating economic, social, educational and, worst of all, life threatening conditions. We can help change that statistic for our partner school. We have the opportunity to provide a transformational service-learning opportunity for our students through H2O for Life. Our students will study issues surrounding the global water crisis, learn about their partner school and country, and will plan and implement activities that raise funds to help bring water and sanitation to our partner school. We want our students to know that by working together, we can make a difference in the world! We hope that all students in our school will benefit from our partnership with H2O for Life. Students will be challenged to think about their own habits concerning water usage, and will develop awareness of the enormity of the issues surrounding water in our world. We hope our school will be committed to make this project for our partner school a reality.
South St. Paul Secondary School
South St. Paul's 8th Grade Global Studies students have spent much of this year learning about the global issues facing people around the world including the availability of clean safe drinking water. To be able to make a positive contribution to those in need is a very exciting opportunity. We hope that along with raising money for those at Oburin, we may also continue to spread awareness of this important cause that affects so many.

We recently engaged in a fundraising day to raise funds for charity. We chose H2O for Life and raised money selling homemade cookies around our local neighbourhood.
Springville Junior High School
An important part of the visual arts is communicating important things. This year as part of the curriculum I wanted to incorporate projects that would engage the students into making positive changes in the world with their art work. Right now, the number one thing we could do that would make a huge difference is getting more people access to clean water. Looking to our own world the atmosphere and ocean are warming through the use of fossil fuels, nitrous oxides, deforestation and fertilizers, pollution acidity in our oceans that are releasing sky rocketing amounts green house gases. This climate crises is unprecedented in it’s scale and complexity and I feel compelled to find ways to help. In the last few years our endangered species has tripled and clean water is the number one killer of people and animals. In the next few years half of our animal species will be wiped out.
