St. Louis Park High School Nation...
Our organization is based on high school and promotes community involvements among academically excelling students. Involvements include community service projects and various other opportunities dedicated to aiding their communities.
St. Luke School
We are a Catholic school dedicated to creating graduates whose attitudes, values, personal and spiritual attributes are instilled by a community of faith, hope, and love. We are making a positive impact on the world through our actions. We feel the need to advocate for social justice. Providing safe water for people less fortunate than ourselves is an ideal way we can share what is bountiful in our lives with those who have a need in theirs.
St. Malachy Parish School
St. Malachy School is dedicated to helping those in need both in our own community and in the world at large. This project allows students to both learn about literacy and science while helping them develop an understanding of the needs of less fortunate people around the globe.
St. Mary's Academy
We are a K-12 school. Our students are participating in something called the World Affairs Challenge, where a group is focusing on Sustainable Development Goal #6, Clean Water and Sanitation. This group is finding solutions to the water crisis and the sanitation problems in Malawi.
St. Matthew's School
St. Matthew's School is committed to improving the quality of life for our friends at Chisamba Junior Primary School in Malawi. As a school, we promote social justice and raise money to help local, national and international causes. In this project we hope to provide the children of Chisamba with clean drinking water and latrines; two things we take for granted.
St. Patrick School
St. Patrick School is a Pre-K-8th Grade Catholic School located in Wadsworth, Illinois. We have been inspired to help the global water crisis after reading A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park. We are a service-oriented school, and are excited to use our resources to help a school in need.
St Pete High Green Devils Pantry
@GDPantry helps hundreds of St. Pete High students and families when life gets in the way. We will use this project to teach about marketing and profitability of bottled water, along with the waste it creates.
St. Peter Catholic School
We, the Catholic Community of St. Peter, in a faith response to Jesus Christ, provide an education that is sacred and academic, enabling students to proclaim their faith and transform the world.
St. Rita Catholic School
Through the Saint Rita One Read program we hope to facilitate conversation and discussion of important topics among our diverse community members. During the 2016-2017 school year, we will read the books A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park and The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind (Young Readers Edition) by William Kamkwamba. Classroom and community activities will spark learning about scarce resources around the world, especially water. Students will be encouraged to become responsible consumers of resources. The Walk for Water will challenge the students to raise money and awareness in the community and test themselves physically as they experience just a fraction of what young people around the world must endure on a daily basis.
St. Therese Catholic Academy
St. Therese is a diverse, welcoming community that seeks to ignite the faith, minds, and dreams of its students to prepare them to excel spiritually, academically, and socially in high school, college, and beyond. Founded in 1927, we are in our 90th school year this year! We want to let our sisters and brothers around the globe know that they matter, that we care, and that we will strive to live more simply so they can live more abundantly.
