Kathy Engert

Katie Spotz

Katie runs, rows, swims, cycles, and skates for clean water. Next up: Mount Kilimanjaro. ⛰️ At 19,341 feet, it’s the highest peak in Africa — and a whole new kind of challenge. This isn’t about speed or strength, but endurance, altitude, and mindset. It’s a slow, steady climb through five climate zones, with one goal: the summit. And just like every other adventure, it’s not just for the challenge itself — it’s for something bigger. This climb is part of my ongoing effort to bring clean water access to communities around the world. One step at a time, one story at a time, we keep going. Join the mission in creating a world where everyone, everywhere has clean water to drink.💦

Katy's Christmas Project

I decided to ask for donations to support students in need instead of Christmas gifts this year. I am a teacher and like to see every student be successful. This starts with having your basic needs met and clean water is one of them.

Kenmore West High School

Our school recently began the International Baccalaureate program. Part of the IB mission encompasses becoming globally minded and aware of the needs of the world. The CAS (Creativity Action and Service) program within IB encourages students to pursue this global interaction. In America, we rarely recognize the need for fresh water in areas around the world and as a group, we believe it is important to give people the same opportunities we have been given. So, the swim team is collaborating with the IB program to have a fun, swimming competition at the school to raise money benefiting this great cause. We're excited and we hope it is a success!

King Arts - Fifth Grade

The fifth graders of Martin Luther King Jr. Literary and Fine Arts School have always participated in a service project to keep Dr. King's legacy alive. This year their fall curriculum focused on Native American studies, so they have chosen to raise money for the Navajo Nation through a Penny War and Water Walk, where the students will walk 1 mile while each carrying a gallon of water.

King of Grace Lutheran School

The third-grade class at King of Grace has participated in H2O projects since 2013. After viewing some of the videos on the H2O site, it's impossible not to want to help some of these children who are in need of what we often take for granted, water! This year we will be raising funds by running a candy store, and participation in a, "Walk for Water".
