QSI American International School...
Our PreK-12 American International School has held Walks for Water in order to helps schools in need of accessible fresh drinking water and new latrines for the past two years. We are excited to have the opportunity again this year. The students at QSI Bratislava kick off their fundraising efforts each year on March 22nd - World Water Day. We fundraise for approximately one month leading up to our Walk for Water which ends our annual Earth Week - this year, our Walk for Water will be held on April 26th. We plan to have a coin drive as well as bakesales to support the project. Not only does H2O give all of our students an opportunity to help others but also raises awareness on a more global level.
QSI International School of Shekou
We are a group of international students from QSI International School of Shekou in Shenzhen, China, and our goal is to create a safer, better world for children everywhere. We have an incredibly unique team of individuals who want to utilize their talents to make a difference. In the past years we have been involved in many community service activities, but as the opportunity to partner up with H2O For Life has been given to us, we've realized that this is our chance to create a world, more worth living in. Since we all live a life overseas, we have a very special chance to raise awareness of this issue to the largest population in todays world. And additionally to do our duty as international students, and come together to start working towards a solution to water pollution.
Southwell School - Smiling Suppor...
We recently engaged in a fundraising day to raise funds for charity. We chose H2O for Life and raised money selling homemade cookies around our local neighbourhood.
St. Matthew's School
St. Matthew's School is committed to improving the quality of life for our friends at Chisamba Junior Primary School in Malawi. As a school, we promote social justice and raise money to help local, national and international causes. In this project we hope to provide the children of Chisamba with clean drinking water and latrines; two things we take for granted.
The American School in London
Grade 6 students at The American School in London have been learning about water scarcity around the world. They researched several projects on the H2O for Life website and made compelling reasons why certain projects should get their support.
The Anglo-American School of Sofia
Students at the Anglo-American International School of Sofia are involved in a Global Citizenship Project in which they are committed to helping others locally as well as on a global scale. We are excited to have the opportunity to help schools that are in need of accessible fresh drinking water and new latrines. Our PreK-12 students will participate in an awareness campaign beginning on March 22nd - World Water Day. We are interested in educating others about the importance of what many of us take for granted - clean and accessible water. We plan to fundraise with a coin drive and bakesales leading up to our Walk for Water which will be held on April 17th this year. We appreciate that H2O provides us the opportunity to help others as well as the chance to raise awareness about the water crisis within an international community.
Westin’s Walk for Water
I am a grade two student at Fish Creek School in Calgary. I am also a member of Scouts Canada, serving my third year in the Beaver program with Section McKenzie 210, in Calgary. When a project to complete my North Star Award for Beavers came up, I wanted to do something bigger than just picking up litter in my community. With the help of my mom, we came up with the idea to raise money for a cause or charity. We did some research and thought this would be perfect! I will be walking 5km with my mom, to raise funds to support Calvary Cross Junior School, which is located in Luwero district in the Central region of Uganda. We have not set a date for the walk yet, but we are working on it! We are hoping to raise the $2,035 needed in order to bring water to their school and community. Thanks for your support!
