Francis W. Parker School
For five years the Francis W. Parker Middle School has been committed to the H2O For Life Water Project. We have annually organized two days of projects focused on raising awareness by partaking in a series of activities. Some of the activities we have done in the past are a water carrying obstacle course to replicate the daily journey of kids fetching water, performing in a flashmob with a water theme, paintings that hang in our hallways regarding the theme of water, poetry panels, and a 5K walk/run. We have even built a model of a boat out of recycled water bottles to draw attention to a slightly different water problem: the floating garbage patches made up of plastics in our oceans (look up the voyage of the Plastiki if interested). One of the reasons we are excited about this doing another project with H2O For Life, aside from the need and the modeling of empathy and service, is that this is achievable. Sometimes kids are overwhelmed by world issues that seem unmanageable. We can actually accomplish this and step back and feel we made a huge difference. That is optimistic and encouraging. Middle School students have the altruism and energy to change the world. We hope we can count on your support.
Girl Scout Brownie Troop 60200
We are Girl Scout Brownie Troop 60200, with 18 third graders from Cardinal Joseph Bernardin Catholic School in Orland Hills, Illinois. Our main Girl Scout project this year was taking our "Wonders of Water" Journey, where we learned all about the importance of our earth's freshwater resources. We decided to use a portion of the proceeds from our Girl Scout Cookie Sale to help provide fresh water to school children in another part of the world!
Glenbard West High School
Freshman english students tasked with creating a service project want to help their community understand more about the global water crisis. The Forensics Club at Glenbard West High School has chosen to help Abundant Grace Jr. School raise funds to install a rainwater collection system (RCS) on school grounds.

Ira Jones Middle School
Through a student led charitable initiative, our school has the opportunity to take action and help make a difference in the global water crisis. The Ira Jones students have the opportunity to “Walk for Water” as an awareness-raising concept and fundraiser. The event will take place during one PE class on either May 15th or 16th, during which students are invited to carry gallon jugs to simulate what many women and children do every day. Our goal is to not only raise awareness to the global water crisis but to help provide a new well for Igunda Primary School.

Global Goal 6 - Clean Water & Sanitation If we can make this goal a reality, we can make a huge impact on every other global goal as well.
King Arts - Fifth Grade
The fifth graders of Martin Luther King Jr. Literary and Fine Arts School have always participated in a service project to keep Dr. King's legacy alive. This year their fall curriculum focused on Native American studies, so they have chosen to raise money for the Navajo Nation through a Penny War and Water Walk, where the students will walk 1 mile while each carrying a gallon of water.
Lake Forest Academy
As a part of our sophomore seminar project, our section of the Lake Forest Academy sophomore class is required to choose a service project to pursue. We chose to fund an H2O for life school and raise a portion of the funds for it. Unfortunately we have a time limit to gather funds and although our goal is to raise "A kilometer of pennies" (which is equivalent to around 550 dollars). We expect that we will be able to reach about $300 realistically.
Lisle Elementary School
We are a PreK-5th grade elementary school in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois! Our 5th grade students have started a service learning project. This school year, our goal is to raise a minimum of $2,000 for two schools.
