Jordan Middle School
We want to share our resources with others.
Kasson-Mantorville Elementary School
Our 4th Grade KoMets have been studying water - they have explored the finite water available on Earth and the challenges that are faced in accessing fresh, clean water. We've had many conversations about looking for opportunities within challenges and are excited for the opportunity to make an impact beyond our community in this way!
Kathleen Lang Memorial Project
In memory of Kathleen, her extended family is supporting Lugango Primary School in Kenya. Kathleen Lang passed away at the age of 88 years young. She will be remembered for her love of family- 7 children-and her impact on the Faribault, MN community. She also provided amazing desserts, chicken noodle soup and peanut butter crackers! She was a beautiful woman both inside and out. Her legacy will live on through all that were touched by her.
King of Grace Lutheran School
The third grade class at King of Grace has participated in H2O projects since 2013. After viewing some of the videos on the H2O site, it's impossible not to want to help some of these children who are in need of what we often take for granted, water! This year we will be raising funds by running a candy store, selling donuts, and participation in a, "Walk for Water".
Lakeville South High School
First of all, I'd like to thank you very much for putting the time and effort in to visiting our schools fundraising page, here you'll be able to see our progress over the year as well as find more information about the school we are sponsoring along with many other projects! This project is a great way to measurably impact the lives of over 500 people. Our community has been blessed with an abundance of luxuries and if we can put even a fraction of what we have towards serving others through H2O For Life, we can literally save hundreds of lives. The Faith Clubs at Lakeville South have decided to bring H2O For Life into our school and local community in an effort to serve others as Disciples in Christ. This project is a great first step towards eliminating the huge water crisis we have on Earth today.
Lang/Quinlan/Malone - Lets Quench...
While being educated at the recent H2O for Life Water Ball it made us cringe to think of how many thousands of gallons of WATER have recently been wasted during this past year's Ice Bucket Challenge. Although awareness and countless dollars were raised, it does not have to be that difficult, that theatrical, and most of all not that uncomfortable. AND we won't be wasting precious water! In support of H2O for Life's tireless efforts and legacy, and in memory of Wallace Fleming, founder of this family I now challenge ALL of the extended family members of the Malone, Quinlan and Lang clans (and all of the Flemings) who could not attend the Water Ball to commit to take on and complete an amazing Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Education project in South Africa. We can take action that is simple- donating funds- and kids at Gwilgwili Primary School in South Africa will receive access to clean water, toilets and handwashing stations. As student speakers pointed out, every penny makes a difference. Your donation, no matter how big or small will get this project done! Let's help change the world.
LEAP High School
We are a high school of all immigrant and refugee learners. We want to raise money to help those in need in a school in another part of the world, just like we were helped once.
Lincoln Center Elementary School
Lincoln Center Student Ambassadors are committed to taking local and global action to break the cycle of poverty and want to help make the world a better place. Our student leaders have been researching the water crisis and are passionate about making a difference.
Lincoln Elementary School
Every day, one billion people make a three hour journey to gather water! There is a water crisis throughout the world that is creating economic, social, educational and, worst of all, life threatening conditions. We can help change that statistic for our partner school. We have the opportunity to provide a transformational service-learning opportunity for our students through H2O for Life. Our students will study issues surrounding the global water crisis, learn about their partner school and country, and will plan and implement activities that raise funds to help bring water and sanitation to our partner school. We want our students to know that by working together, we can make a difference in the world! We hope that all students in our school will benefit from our partnership with H2O for Life. Students will be challenged to think about their own habits concerning water usage, and will develop awareness of the enormity of the issues surrounding water in our world. We hope our school will be committed to make this project for our partner school a reality.
