Nansemond River High School AFJROTC
Here at Nansemond River High School our AFJROTC group is trying to raise funds for our program as well as donate money to various community service projects.
Nansemond River High School / Air...
Each year Nansemond River High School's, Air Force Junior ROTC trains over 100, 9th-12th graders on how to positively impact their community and practice to become future leaders. Our "H2O For Life" pledge is the largest financial community service project among dozens of service programs that we run each year.
Salem High School
Our group is made up of 2 Leadership Skills Development classes, with student leaders from different clubs, teams, and organizations. We would like to be involved to help others, put what we are learning into action, and expand our global perspective.
Service Kids in Progress
Access to clean drinking water is often taken for granted in the United States but is a life or death issue for people in some parts of the world. By participating in a Walk for Water through H2O for Life, SKIP aims to raise awareness about this important issue and to raise money to build a well for the students at South Sudan School 4.
St. Clare Walker Middle School
As part of a county where many of our residents live or work on the water, we know the importance of clean water. This project will not only help our students learn about and educate others on the importance of clean water, but will also allow our students, teachers, and members of the community to collaborate while raising money for a great cause.
Trailside Middle School
The 8th grade students at Trailside Middle School will be participating in a service learning project that ties into our county wide initiative - One To The World. This will encourage students to identify real world problems and create authentic solutions. We want to build a culture in our school where students are inspired to take action globally and within in their own community as a way to provide for the common good
Viking Capstone 2017; Loudoun Val...
This is Loudoun Valley High School's second year supporting H2O for Life through its senior capstone initiative. Called the Viking Capstone, qualifying seniors are excused from the last three weeks of classes in order to pursue a community service project or career development opportunity. To kick off the three-week experience, all Viking Capstone seniors will participate in a Water Walk to raise money for our partner school in Kenya. We are excited to help solve a global crisis locally!
