H2O for Life Alumni at U.S. Wash Convening

Posted by Emilee Vizenor on June 5

Last month, three H2O for Life alumni joined us at the U.S. WASH Convening in Washington, DC.

Andrew, Emmie, and Melissa previously participated in H2O for Life’s High School Fellowship Program, where they each led a service project at their respective schools to raise awareness and funds for a Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) intervention at a partner school.

This May, these students had the opportunity to apply what they learned by connecting with leaders in the U.S. WASH sector, hearing from water access experts, and participating in advocacy work on Capitol Hill.

Not only did they come away with new knowledge and a renewed drive to close the water access gap, they also taught other attendees about youth leadership and the amazing things today’s young people can accomplish.
