Vacation Bible School Mission Project
Our theme was “On the Road With Jesus”, and the map photo is where the children learned about H2O for Life and where they learned about Saints from all over the world. They placed stickers each day on the places we talked about. Each child got his/her own map to keep track and to take home at the end.
The water drops are something our team created to share this fundraiser with the parish, and they were hung in the windows of the church’s gathering area. Then the VBS children made their own to remind them of our water project.
Children had the opportunity to drop coins into a working well with water at the bottom as they came in each day. Once they saw how the well worked, they wanted to keep bringing money in every day! In addition, we had a dry area of the well for cash and checks. Our last piece was to tell our parish about the project, and they added to the children’s donations!
We ended up raising $741.50 for a water and sanitation project at Saviefe Deme Community School in Ghana!
