High School Fellow Camila Presents at NHS/Student Council Conference in Chicago

Posted by Mitchell LeGrand on February 11

H2O for Life was a sponsor of this year’s National Student Council and National Honor Society conference. It was held in Chicago and student leaders from around the world were in attendance. We hosted an exhibit booth and delivered a session talking with youth about how to lead service projects addressing the water crisis at their schools.

One of the people who spoke during the session was our very own high school fellow alumni, Camila, who led a project at her school in Costa Rica that helped provide access to two schools in Nicaragua with our implementing partners El Porvenir! She shared her expierence with the program, how it positvely impacted her, and why she thinks others should participate with H2O for Life. We were also able to hand deliver her certificate for participating in the fellowship program!

Thanks so much to Camila for being an inspiration to other students around the world and to NASSP for letting us participate in this incredible event! If you want to get your school involved with a project like Camila’s, explore our website and reach out.
