Ongai Borehole Drilled
Posted by Steve Hall on September 26, 2023
Ongai Primary School, located in Okura Village, Nwoya District, Uganda, currently has 577 students (265 girls & 312 boys). The school has had a severe lack of safe water for many years with the nearest working well being over a mile away. The route to the water source is also alongside and requires crossing, a very busy road with very fast traffic. Several children have been hit by vehicles over the last few years.
Our implementing partner, Drop in the Bucket, recently drilled a new borehole well that will provide safe water on the school grounds for years to come! Having this well at school will allow these students to stay healthy and focused on their education.
