Salem Hills Recognized for 13 Years of Service!

Posted by Mitchell LeGrand on July 24, 2020

Throughout July, H2O for Life is recognizing schools that have participated in a service-learning and fundraising project for 10 years or more.

Last week we highlighted Hoboken Charter School. Today, we would like to applaud our friends at Salem Hills Elementary School, where students have been participating in our program for 13 years!

Since 2007, innovative students from Salem Hills Elementary have raised nearly $30,000 for partner schools in 11 different countries. They have hosted Walks for Water, Water Fairs, an annual Cardboard Arcade, and they have even brought back an old classic, a lemonade stand to help raise funds! Their dedication to helping others is clear in and out of the classroom.

Since 2007, Salem Hills Elementary School has supported:

  • 19 different WASH projects
  • In 11 different countries around the world
  • On 3 different continents
  • Implemented by 10 of our NGO partners

Thank you, Salem Hill Elementary School, for 13 years of hard work and for making the idea of being a global citizen sound fun! Your dedication to helping students around the world have access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene resources is inspiring.
