New Latrines at Murushasha!
We are happy to report that the latrines at Murushasha Community Primary School in Uganda were completed early in 2019. They constructed a 4 stance latrine block (pit latrines) with an exceptionally deep pit so that they should be functioning for the maximum period of time. Everyone is very happy to have this facility at the school which is still constructing its first brick classroom block. Along with the water tank that was previously constructed with support from H2O for Life and The Joseph Sears School in Kenilworth, IL, the facilities of the school are really improving.
Mpungu, where this school is located, really struggles in terms of development and education – I heard that the local Inspector of Schools commented “Murushasha is the first school to have such a good toilet”.
The school head teacher Gillian sends thanks and appreciation to H2O for Life and The Joseph Sears School who contributed towards the latrines.
Photos are of the latrines, water tank, children queuing to wash hands and some dancing!
