There is an urgent need for the implementation of safe water, sanitation, and hygiene education projects (WASH in Schools) for schools around the world, particularly in underserved regions like Sub-Saharan Africa, where 1 in 3 people still lack access to safe drinking water. The addition of WASH facilities not only improves the health of students by reducing the spread of waterborne diseases like cholera and dysentery, but it also boosts learning outcomes. Studies have shown that when children have access to clean water and proper sanitation, their attendance rates rise and they are able to focus better in class, leading to higher academic performance.

In many parts of Africa, girls are often forced to miss school during their menstrual cycle due to a lack of hygiene facilities, contributing to higher dropout rates. By providing essential WASH infrastructure, we can break down these barriers and ensure that all children, regardless of gender, have an equal opportunity to thrive.

The impact of your donation is far-reaching: just $5 can provide a school with access to clean water for an entire year, transforming the lives of hundreds of students. Please donate to my fundraiser today. Your generosity, no matter the amount, will help build healthier, more educated communities. Every contribution makes a difference!
