There is an urgent need for implementation of safe water, sanitation and hygiene education projects (WASH in Schools) for schools around the world. The addition of WASH facilities improves the health and learning performance of students by reducing the incidence of water and sanitation related diseases. Student attendance and time in class also increases when facilities are available on school grounds. In different countries and schools in the world women and young girls have to walk for hours simply for a barrel of contaminated water. If we have the privilege of drinking clean water every day those children do too. Please donate to my fundraiser. Anything you can give is a huge help! We are also hosting a walking for water event on November 9th. We will be carrying bins of water and carrying around the Rose Bowl area (2 miles) to simulate what it is like to have to walk in order to obtain water. Feel free to join in on this event. Even if you are unable to participate, let your friends and family or anyone who wants to support our cause know!
