There is an urgent need for clean and safe water around the world. The WASH program (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) builds facilities like wells and water pumps to ensure safe water in countries around the world, specifically in schools. The average woman in rural Africa walks about 3.7 miles each day to retrieve 40 pounds of water. Because the water is so far away young girls are being pulled out of school in order to get water. Our mission is to build water pumps and wells in these areas so young girls can get educations and have a reliable source of clean water. To simulate their experience me and my classmates will be walking around the Rose Bowl with a gallon of water on our heads. Please donate to my fundraiser no matter how big or small and to help solve the water crisis one step at a time!
