Everybody gets a chance to work the store!
Learning to sort, count, and keep track of inventory is a big part of running the store. Counting the money and figuring out profits is fun because you get to handle the money! As you can see by their faces, the third graders are enjoying the learning about marketing and helping others.
The sales crew looks a little older today!
After putting on a play, the third grade class decided to stay in character while they sold candy at the store. Student quotes:
Hello, today Wednesday the 17th is the day we are selling ice cream cones and doing the walk for water. The walk is from 3.00 – 4.30. – Jackson Gregovich
Right before we did the store we had Playmakers so all the people running the store had mustaches. It feels great to see all the people who are buying candy to help with H2O. – Jack Larson
Some people think that were just selling candy and don’t know that we’re doing a fundraiser. – Audrey Preston
Finally, the day of the “Walk for Water” has arrived!
For the last three years we have combined the sale of ice cream cones with our, “Walk for Water”. Sales were brisk and in just a half hour we had sold over 150 ice cream cones. A little advertising in the parking lot helped sales. – Mr Lubansky
Yesterday we did the walk for water these children are walking with 2 gallons or 1 gallon of water. To see the kids walk is pretty cool. – Emma Powers
Some kids don’t have clean water that’s why our school did a walk for water to feel how girls felt when they had to carry water on their head and we raised lots of money for H2O. – Madalyn Olmanson
