Project
Kiguuka Community School
Kiguuka Community School, located in the Nwoya district of northern Uganda, was established by parents worried about the high number of local children not regularly attending school.
The absence of safe water sources in the area results in students losing significant classroom time while they journey to find water. Installing a borehole well could significantly boost student enrollment, potentially doubling it within the next year.
Project Proposal: New Borehole Well
Our implementing partner, Drop in the Bucket, will drill a borehole well providing safe water on the school grounds.

H2O for Life is not a WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) project implementer. We have partnerships with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) implementing WASH in Schools projects around the world. Our NGO partners match funds needed for each school project. We also have a generous donor that provides us with an interest-free loan that, along with matching funds, allows for many projects to be started or possibly even completed before total funds have been raised. In rare situations we reserve the right to reallocate funds to alternate project(s).
