While traveling in Uganda with H2O for Life, our group visited Rushaga School in Bwindi Uganda. We were impressed with the collaborative community spirit. The women, men and children of Rushaga work together to enhance the welfare of every community member. The women's collaborative creates crafts that are sold at the base of the Gorilla Trek, the community funds an orphanage, the school, noon-time meals for children and more. We noticed that the school does not have access to adequate and safe water. The addition of a tank and gutters to collect rainwater is a simple solution. (Nothing about getting supplies to Rushaga is simple, but it can be done!)
