Project
Traala Primary School
Project Complete!
Traala Primary School is in the Okollo sub-county of the Arua district in Uganda. Arua is in an area called West Nile which is close to the border of Uganda and the DRC (Congo).
The school’s only current water source is a rainwater harvesting tank which does not supply enough. During the dry season the school has no water and the students have to walk long distances to fetch water from unsafe sources. Traala urgently needs a permanent source of clean water.
Project Proposal: New borehole well
H2O for Life is not a WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) project implementer. We have partnerships with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) implementing WASH in Schools projects around the world. Our NGO partners match funds needed for each school project. We also have a generous donor that provides us with an interest-free loan that, along with matching funds, allows for many projects to be started or possibly even completed before total funds have been raised. In rare situations we reserve the right to reallocate funds to alternate project(s).
