Project
Owina Primary School
Project Complete!
Owina Primary School is a public school located in Benin, Edo State, Nigeria. The student population is made up of approximately 300 girls and 200 boys.
These students currently have no water source at the school and have no functional toilets/latrines.
The proposed project will rehab the existing pit latrines, build 6 additional toilets with hand washing stations along with the construction of a new bore hole well. A School Environmental Health Club will also be established to conduct and promote proper hygiene habits among the students.
H2O for Life is not a WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) project implementer. We have partnerships with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) implementing WASH in Schools projects around the world. Our NGO partners match funds needed for each school project. We also have a generous donor that provides us with an interest-free loan that, along with matching funds, allows for many projects to be started or possibly even completed before total funds have been raised. In rare situations we reserve the right to reallocate funds to alternate project(s).
