Ilawani Nursery School
Project Complete!
Ilawani Nursery school is a public day care school found in Makueni County of the Republic of Kenya. This school was started in 1994 with only 1 classroom in place. Today there are 28 boys and 13 girls.
There are not many facilities in this school apart from the 1 classroom that is used by the pupils for learning.

The school teacher has reported that there is no Toilet facility for these children. The toilet they use is borrowed from a church that is next to the school.
This proposal will aim to construct a 2 unit Ventilated Pit Latrine- one block for girls and the other one for boys.
H2O for Life is not a WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) project implementer. We have partnerships with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) implementing WASH in Schools projects around the world. Our NGO partners match funds needed for each school project. We also have a generous donor that provides us with an interest-free loan that, along with matching funds, allows for many projects to be started or possibly even completed before total funds have been raised. In rare situations we reserve the right to reallocate funds to alternate project(s).
