Sunga Water Well Handover Ceremony

The Sunga water well has been successfully completed and handed over to the school and the community. This project, constructed by H2O for Life in collaboration with Rural Health Care Initiative (RHCI) and the Sunga Community, was officially handed over during a well-attended ceremony.
The event attracted various stakeholders, including community and school leaders, women, pupils, RHCI donors, and staff. Both the head teacher and the town chief of Sunga expressed their gratitude and were highly impressed with the new well, pledging to maintain the facility diligently.
Moses Carter, the Project Coordinator for RHCI, highlighted the background and significance of the water well project. He emphasized the importance of continued community support to ensure the well's maintenance and longevity.
Joseph Sogbandi, RHCI Program Director, discussed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the well's sustainability. He encouraged community leaders to take ownership and actively participate in the well's upkeep.
The RHCI Country Director thanked the organization, H2O for Life, and the Sunga community for their collaborative efforts in bringing this project to fruition. She urged community leaders and the school to continue their efforts in maintaining the well.
The ceremony concluded with a cultural performance, the cutting of the ribbon, and the official handover of the well by the RHCI Country Director.
