Project
Wii Aceng Primary School
Project Complete!
The Wii Aceng Primary School is currently closed due to the pandemic, but even when it is open, it is frequently forced to shut down due to the lack of water.
The school’s 186 boys and 153 girls only source of water is a stream that completely empties during the dry season leaving the school with no water. Even when there is water in the stream, it is not safe and gets contaminated even more as it is shared with animals. The children often get sick drinking this water but have no choice as it is the only source within 5 km (3 miles) so they have no other option.
Project Proposal: New Borehole Well
Our implementing partner, Drop in the Bucket, will drill a well that will provide safe water on the school grounds.

H2O for Life is not a WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) project implementer. We have partnerships with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) implementing WASH in Schools projects around the world. Our NGO partners match funds needed for each school project. We also have a generous donor that provides us with an interest-free loan that, along with matching funds, allows for many projects to be started or possibly even completed before total funds have been raised. In rare situations we reserve the right to reallocate funds to alternate project(s).
