Every living being on Earth needs water one way or another. Some have managed to evolved to be able live without it weeks or even months! If that amazes you, then it should. We can't even go one week without water that and never have been able to. So why should people not have access to clean and drinkable water? They absolutely should have it, but many across the world unfortunately don't have this necessity-turned luxury. It's nothing short of stomach-churning and devastating, and many have sympathy but feel as if they can't help. You can.
If you donate, then schoolchildren in Honduras will have finally have access to clean water. There's an urgent need for implementation of safe water, sanitation and hygiene education projects (WASH in Schools) for schools around the world. WASH facilities improve the health and learning performance of students by reducing the incidence of water and sanitation related diseases. Student attendance and time in class also increases when facilities are available on school grounds. Every penny that gets donated is an immense help for not only helping people live day to day, but could also help these children pursue their futures. Maybe one day, they'll help us.
