Naava Chan

Hello! I am Naava Chan and I am currently a students at Westridge School. We are holding a fundraiser to build a clean water well in Africa. Over this past week, we have been learning about the dangers of unsafe water and other water related issues. Students throughout Africa often walk 3-6 miles every day, sometimes multiple times a day, which causes them to miss school. This leads to lost opportunities, and ultimately could be the loss of a aspiring career. Many people die each year due to contaminated or unsafe drinking water. Others have no water and die from dehydration. Statistics say that about one person dies every ten seconds. Additionally, 1 in every 5 children under the age of five die from water related illnesses. On November 9th, Westridge School for girls is raising awareness by walking the Rose Bowl in Pasadena simulating the walk you girls have to make daily. f you are willing to help the cause, donate here! If not, you are already helping the cause by learning more about the water crisis. Every dollar is greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!
