There is an urgent need for implementation of safe water, sanitation and hygiene education projects for schools around the world. On Tuesday, June 7, my class and I will be walking 3 miles, which is the average distance that women and girls in developing countries must walk every day, typically carrying 20 liters (about 5 gallons) of water.
