Hi! My name is Isabella and I am in fourth grade. My classmates and I have decided to raise money to sponsor the building of a well in a village in South Sudan. After reading the novel, "A Long Walk to Water", we learned about the water crisis in South Sudan. We learned that children just like us are not able to go to school because they must spend their days walking back and forth for hours each day just to get water to survive. Our grade has pledged to raise $5,000 that will go directly to building the well. Once the well is built, there will also be a school and even a market in the area.
