Visit from The Gambia!

6th grade students had a Zoom visit with a special guest from the Gambia! Buba is a middle school math teacher, a trained teacher of teachers there, the broadcaster of elementary and middle school math across the country (as a way to reach all during Covid) and works with one of our teachers as the supervisor of multiple philanthropic programs such as delivering and budgeting monies for a deaf school for ages 3-7, and dispensing school fees for girls who would otherwise not have the money to attend school. When asked about water insecurities, Buba was delighted to speak on his personal relationship with water as well as that of other Gambians in order to educate American children on the true problems that occur without pipe borne water.
