Saya Gooden

Hi, my name is Saya Gooden and I am a student at Westridge School for Girls. This year I am participating in a club called Water Warriors that helps to build clean water wells and provides clean water to developing countries. The reason I decided to participate in this club was because I think that clean water is something I take for granted and I would like to do what I can to provide that as many other people as possible. So many people have to walk miles upon miles just to get water that can still make them sick, and so many people die every year from water born diseases, including children. It can make a huge difference even to donate a couple of dollars and I hope you will take that into consideration. This year we are doing a Walk for Water fundraiser where we will be walking 3 miles carrying 2 gallons of water to simulate the walks people make for water every day. We will also be hosting an online auction later this year to raise funds for a charity called H2o for Life that helps build those wells and faucets around the world.
