Katie Spotz, Trailblazer!

We first met Katie ten years ago when she inspired us on our quest for water justice. She has been our water warrior mentor ever since. Yesterday we reunited with Katie at her Lifewater fundraiser event with yoga teacher Kat Cynewski. We are in awe of Katie’s newest ultra endurance challenge to run4water. In September she will run 141 miles, nonstop, across the state of Maine, from the Canadian border to Portland! Mabel wove today’s potholder as a tribute to Katie’s run: “the blue loops are her trail. Every step of blue symbolizes the water she brings to people in need.” We are on day 62 of our potholder pledge to weave a potholder a day to raise awareness and funds for water justice.
